Proofreading
Your manuscript, article or newsletter is ready for publishing but you want a final set of “eyes” to catch errors you may have missed. I’ll proofread for typos, errors in spelling, punctuation and grammar, and check references, acronyms, links and footnotes for accuracy.
Fact Checking
I will ensure that your facts, dates, names, locations, etc., are accurate.
Content Editing
You’ve worked hard on your article, newsletter or manuscript, but it still needs help. While maintaining your voice and style, I will suggest changes in wording, sentences, paragraphs, and more to help your prose flow, improving readability and clarity.
Copy Editing
I’ll work with you to tighten your writing, correcting grammar and inconsistencies while maintaining your unique voice. I use Word’s Track Changes, and will provide you with an edited copy of your work as well as a clean copy so you can see the final result, deciding which changes to accept or ignore.
Research
Let me help you ensure that the scenes and characters in your writing are factually grounded and realistic, based on historical accounts and/or current research. Rather than lose your momentum, getting stuck on a particular aspect of your story or article, let me go down that rabbit hole for you, providing the facts, details and descriptions you need to make your story ring true.
All services provided on an hourly rate based on the type of service provided, from $20 to $75 per hour. Please contact me for a quote.
